Advanced alerts: Bytes to MB/GB ?
I would like to replicate low disk space alerts from basic to advanced (So I can filter using custom properties) . I would like our Dev team to get alerts for DEV servers, apps for apps servers, etc. I have the query setup and working properly, but the only values that I can send in an alert is Bytes...

Orion Feature Request
In the Orion Network Monitor, when you pull up the detail on an interface or node, there should be a way to see which OID is being used to pull that particular value, and it should be an editable field. To show an example: I have in a Circuit to Packet (CTP) device from Juniper which converts legacy...

SNMP polling problem
We upgraded from v7.8.5 to v8.1 (HF4) two weeks ago. We started with one, then it progressed to 3 and now expanded to 4 today, Win2K servers that have spiked to and hold at 100% CPU, no memory graphed and all interfaces and volume state changes to "unknown". We also have discovered some (haven't...

Setting severity of SNMP traps and support for private MIB traps
Hi, Is it possible to: 1) Receive SNMP traps from private/Custom MIBs (without the MIB being submitted to Solarwinds for compilation and inclusion into the Solarwinds DB)? 2) Is it possible to set the severity of the trap based on the parameters passed with the trap? 3) Can the trap be converted to an...

Re: Configuring SNMPv3
That was helpful. Thank you! Here's a more detailed example config for a Cisco 2612 at IOS v12.2 that also covers NTP, NAT, SSH, and DHCP (if it pastes OK here): ! Re: Orion monitoring Mac OS X
I'm having this problem as well: anytime I try to poll volume monitoring from Orion, the snmpd process on my OS X machine spikes up to 100% CPU usage and has to be killed. Has anyone had any luck with this? Compiliing the latest version of net-snmp doesn't seem to help.

Re: Problem with Trap Viewer
Are you running version 8.1? I'm running into a few issues with the latest version. It doesn't want to send emails and gives an error indicating it's an eval version if I try to copy anything to the clipboard. I have a support ticket open so we'll see what they have to say abou it.
