I've recently installed EOC (w/SP1) to view our two Orion installs in the US and Europe. I added both servers, tested to insure EOC was able to reach them successfully with the supplied credentials, but I get no information on the EOC screen - "No Data To Display" - shows up in all screens. I did not get this when I was doing beta testing. The database was brand new and the installation appeared to run smoothly with no error messages. There are no firewalls between the EOC server and both Orion servers. In fact, one Orion server sits on the same network as the EOC server.
Both Orion servers are up and generating data at a furious clip, so I know it's not those sites. Any ideas on what to check before I open a ticket?
Also, both Orion installs are v9 with the latest SP - Jim
Well, as fate would have it, as soon as I posted these comments the EOC page was full of goodies. The one thing I did do prior to posting was to start the SolarWinds Job Scheduler but that did not seem to have an immediate effect.
I'm having this same issue but it doesn't seem to be resolving itself. Has anyone else seen this?
Thanks.
Make sure that the SolarWinds Job Scheduler and Job Engine services are up and running.
Take a look at the log file in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Applicaton Data\SolarWinds\EOC\PollingService.log. That will have any errors that may have occured.
We are working on improving the user feedback why a poll failed.
2008-10-06 18:22:31,137 [7] ERROR SolarWinds.EOC.PollingService.JobSchedulerEventsService - Job failed to execute for Orion 4:Orion - Netflow. No suitable job engine available for job execution
This is the error that is in the log.
I'm not sure what's causing that error to happen. You can try shutting down the Job Engine Service and Job Engine Scheduler, and restart them in that same order.
If that doesn't fix that, you may try deleting the Netflow server from EOC and re-adding it.
